Soap Endurance vs. Cost…

January 21st, 2008

How long does your soap last? The average re-order for Its Pure Soap is a 3 pack for 2 people, every 5 to 6 months! Regular soap is three times as fast! Making the cost of our soap EQUAL to regular soap. Cost is really not an issue here once you realize this! Get on the bandwagon and start using the best soap on the market!

Shampoo for dry scalp?

January 15th, 2008

I have yet to find one that actually didn’t dry out my scalp more… tried a whole bunch over the years… got really tired of my scalp being dried out or getting a little bit of scabbies as I call them. Only got them occasionally until I found the cure… wash my hair with Its Pure Soap and they’ve never returned. Been months now and they have not returned. Cured? Can’t think of another word for it… at least for me…

Running Causes Acne?

January 6th, 2008

Wow. For some reason this idea has been popping up lately. This myth that running causes acne. And usually back acne. Let me address this as I have some experience as a runner and as one who has had his fair share of acne. I played soccer for 12 years growing up from 6 until I was 18, and I can safely say that whether it was in season or out, I had acne always. Would it worsen in season? I don’t recall this happening at all. However, I was also getting a lot of sun, especially right before school started with long soccer practices starting like 6 weeks out before school started every year in high school. But early on when I first started getting acne at age 10 or 11 as I remember, this had no bearing on acne. The only thing that made a huge difference was when we started using Its Pure Soap… this made a HUGE difference. You all need to try it!

Special soaps for acne

January 6th, 2008

Hmmm… this is another rather common question. People come to our site looking for solutions to bad acne hoping for some sort of SPECIAL soap just for them. Well, the truth of the matter is that, special soaps for acne are not required. A simple, basic, all natural soap is all that is required to cure acne problems. A simple soap containing just three ingredients like LARD, LYE, and WATER. Just like Its Pure Soap.

Lye Soap (for Acne)

January 6th, 2008

Lye soap is a very redundant term that most people don’t even realize it. You see, soap REQUIRES lye in order for it to BECOME soap! And that is no LYE… I mean LIE… bad pun, I am sorry… As a part of the soap making process, lye is REQUIRED to make soap, there is absolutely no way around this. Lye is contained in EVERY soap! This is such a common question, that I felt the need to address this. Lye soap is not harsh and actually works very well for acne!

Natural Soap

January 6th, 2008

Ok, what exactly is Natural soap? Hmm… I would define it as having no modern day chemicals in it. Everyone know by now that your skin is the largest organ we have and ABSORBS things right through it. We receive essential Vitamin D from the sun which gets transmitted through our skin! It is wise to use only NATURAL products to put on our skin. If you desire to have soft, smooth and luxurious feeling skin, then we highly recommend the Its Pure Soap. Sorry to be so sales-pitchy here but we searched high and low for a soap that made sense, and this was the only one containing just lard, lye and water… can’t get much easier than this!

Skin is skin… but not when it is leather from cows…

January 6th, 2008

Here is another theory that we have been thinking about that makes a lot of sense. Commercial soap is made from tallow. Tallow (sodium tallowate) which comes from cows. Whereas our soap is made from lard (rendered pig fat)… now the question we’ll ask is, “Whose skin is human skin more like? Cow or pig?” This is kind of a no brainer to us cause the last time we checked… cows don’t have skin, they have a HIDE…

Stop using Anti-Bacterial soap folks!

Here is the latest article on anti-bacterial soaps causing much more harm than good! Washington Post Article on Anti-Bacterial Soap Remember that our soap has just three simple ingredients: lard, water and lye… and as a reminder, yes, ALL soaps contain LYE. Can’t make soap without it!

 Customer Testimonials

Flaking Skin:  “I purchased a bar of your soap and found an immediate (next day) improvement of a persistent flaking skin condition.  I ordered 3 additional bars from you and have been using them regularly and exclusively for bathing and hand washing.  The skin condition change was dramatic.  I also used the soap to wash my hair.  This is such a practical solution to a human condition that I am satisfied far beyond my expectations.  Thanks for your entrepreneurial spirit that made this product available for us.”   (R. Viguie – Cincinnati, OH )

Psoriasis:  “I have psoriasis and for years I have applied prescription ointments, creams and shampoos on the affected areas and nothing has worked.  The lesions have gotten worse over the years and doctors have not been able to prescribe anything that I haven’t already used to alleviate the lesions and associated pain.  My Mother gave me a bar of “Its Pure Soap”.  Within four days of using the soap, the lesions cleared up and

I no longer suffer with open lesions.  This has changed my life as I can wear shorts and dark colored shirts without being embarrassed.”   (B. Gregory – Columbia, SC )

Lichen Sclerosis (Diaper Rash):  “I have Lichen Sclerosis, a chronic condition resembling diaper rash.  At its worst only strong steroids can ease the burning.  I am  bathing with “Its Pure Soap” every day and leaving the soap on a few minutes before washing it off has been an aid in controlling the burning and keeps me comfortable.  There is no cure for this condition, so I am thrilled that I found something to help me cope.”

(J. Kuhn – Monroe Twp., NJ )

Intense Itching:  “A few moths ago I was given a bar of “Its Pure Soap”.  To my great surprise, years of intense itching were completely gone within two weeks.  Dermatologists had, for decades, tried various creams and soaps, none of which helped the problem.  Then came “Its Pure Soap”, and the itching stopped.

You have made my life so much better!  I am grateful.”   (L. Sexton – Franklin, NC )

Allergies and Eczema:  “Our five year old son has eczema quite severely and we have tried many products including steroid creams, prescription creams and many home remedies.  Due to the severity of his condition, we ask him to wear long pants in the summer and try to avoid anything that makes his condition worsen.  Recently our allergist suggested we try “Its Pure Soap”.  He uses it as bath soap and we have been so pleased.  He felt immediate relief and told me to buy some for his school so he could use it to wash his hands while in school.  Our son takes quite a bit of medicine to control his allergies and to find a product that does not have side effects and provides such relief is wonderful!”   (P. Senentz – St. Petersburg, FL )

Dry Skin:  “I am on my fifth bar of “Its Pure Soap” and I love this product.  I have oily facial skin but often when using regular soaps I end up with dry shins etc.  I am a long distance runner, so my skin is often exposed to more environmental conditions than most, plus as a wildlife biologist I am outside a great deal of the time.  ….I do not see the dry areas on my shins or knees as I have in the past.  I also like the fact your soap is not perfumed so after I shower and put on some type of fragrance, the two are not fighting with one another.”

(D. Saugey – Jessieville, AR )

Diabetic Sores:  “I am a retired nurse, 78 years old and live alone.  Being a diabetic, I am careful of what I use on my feet.  Recently, I became aware of a burning, itching on my left leg on the ankle.  The area was very red with several small bumps.  I bathed my foot with warm water and “Its Pure Soap”.  It stopped the burning and itching so I used it again before bedtime. I have also used this soap for bathing and have shampooed with it - my gray hair is clean and shiny.   Thanks Its Pure Soap!   (D. Crawford – Brady, TX )

Eczema:  “For the last year or more, I have been suffering from eczema on both of my wrists.  It began to spread up my arm and into my hand, as well as moved to my ankles and stomach.  My doctor prescribed multiple medications, but they only kept it from spreading; never cleared it up.  Then, about a week and a half ago I found your soap.  I tried it out on one wrist only for two or three days.  The effect was so immediate and the rash was clearing up so rapidly, I started using it in the other areas as well.  Now, only a little over of week, my year-long battle with eczema is coming to an end.  I no longer need the expensive medications as the eczema is nearly cleared up.  I wish I had taken before and after photos for proof!  Than you SO much for putting this product on the market!  Please feel free to use this testimonial to help others who are struggling with skin irritations, as I know it will help them as well    (D. Lorsung – North Branch, MN)

Eczema:  “Wow!  What a find!  Our grandson has eczema and has been using your soap with good results.  His skin isn’t as dry and irritated.  Keep up the good work providing us with ‘Its Pure Soap’”.   (D. Butorac – Adah, PA )

Head Lice:  “When my daughter got head lice from another child at school, I tried several over-the-counter products with no success and little, if any, improvement. I then tried an expensive prescription from the doctor with no success.  After trying all these insecticide poisons on my child’s head, I remembered what my grandmother told me years before.  Her mother scrubbed her head with homemade lye soap every Saturday night to get rid of lice.  I scraped thin slivers of “Its Pure Soap” into a fourth cup of hot water and let it dissolve for 30 minutes.  I then applied this thick paste to the scalp and hair.  It needs to stay on the scalp and hair for at least 15 minutes.  Rinse with vinegar and water solution.  The results were amazing!  No more lice.  Shampoo every other day with this mixture for about a week and the lice should be gone.  What a safe and simple way to get rid of these pests.  It also helped with itching scalp and dandruff.”   (K. Adams – Prospect, KY )

Insect Bites:  “I had called your company about a week ago regarding your product and its effectiveness on bedbug bites.  I have to say with great pride and joy, that it has really improved my legs and arms!  They look a lot better than before.  In fact, they’re almost gone.  I am very impressed with the way the soap works.”

(A. Oakes – Cincinnati, OH )

Diabetic Sores:  “While visiting my daughter in Oklahoma I got a bar of “Its Pure Soap”.  It is helping my diabetic foot when nothing else would.  We also cut the bars in small squares and put a small piece in with my white laundry. I have been giving a few bars to our friends who are diabetic to use on their feet.  They think it helps also.  We plan on keeping “Its Pure Soap” around for a while.”   (R. Reed – Gurley, AL )

Soap Allergies:  “I have developed an allergy to many soaps and I bought your soap from cracker barrel and loved it.  Thank you so much for making these soaps.  I am not allergic to it.”   (G. Sorman )

Commercial soap is not soap - it is detergent!

November 11th, 2007

Hey folks! Just found out about this website from the FDA talking about commercial bar soap not containing any soap! Thought everyone should take a look…

Here is a snippet…”Well, in the first place the product you regard as soap may not be soap at all, but a synthetic detergent “beauty” or “bath” bar. These and similar names have been used by copywriters to spare the consumer the awful knowledge that she is not bathing herself with real soap, but with a synthetic detergent…”

and

“FDA’s file of about 70 reports of adverse reactions during the years 1975 through 1977 from use of bar soaps and synthetic detergent bars that qualify as cosmetics includes consumer complaints about skin rash, redness, inflammation, irritation, itching, and burning among the most common problems.”
