And that is no LYE&#8230; I mean LIE&#8230; bad pun, I am sorry&#8230; As a part of the soap making process, lye is REQUIRED to make soap, there is absolutely no way around this. Lye is contained in EVERY soap! This is such a common question, that I felt the need to address this. Lye soap is not harsh and actually works very well for acne!</p>
